The K2TOGTBL bind off creates a neat edge with a little more stretch than the cable method. Great for cowls, shawls and cuffs where you need a little give without any flare.
This bind off is worked the same flat or in the round.
Written Tutorial
- To begin, insert your right hand needle into the back of the first 2 stitches on the left needle from right to left (i.e. through the back loop).
- Wrap the yarn around anti-clockwise.
- Bring the needle forwards, pulling the loop through and slide the 2 worked stitches off the needle.
- Now take the new stitch on the right needle and pass back to the left purlwise - so line the needles up and slip the stitch across.
- Repeat from step 1 until you have 1 stitch remaining on the right needle.
- Cut the yarn to the required length and pull the needle up, extending the loop and pulling the yarn through.
- If working flat, weave in ends. If working in the round, neaten the last stitch (see tutorial) and weave in ends.
