Terms of service
The Terms and Conditions below set out the contract of sale of our yarns, kits and any other items. If you choose to buy items from this site, then you are agreeing to be legally bound by this contract. Completing the checkout process will be seen as confirmation of acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect your statutory rights as a Consumer.
1. About us
1.1 We are Verde Textiles Ltd (trading as Verde). Our registered address is 8 Silsden Road, Bradley, North Yorkshire, BD20 9EB and we are registered in England and Wales under company number 12412579. You can email us at team@verde.uk.
2. Ordering
2.1 Check your order carefully before making payment. If you need to change this in any way after the order has been completed, you can do so by contacting us within 1 hour of placing your order.
2.2 You will receive a confirmation email from us after you have placed your order. However, all orders received are subject to acceptance by Verde Textiles Limited and we reserve the right to refuse an order for any reason. If this occurs, we will refund any payments received in full, via the payment method used to place the order.
2.3 If your order is not available from stock, we will contact you and give the option to either wait until the goods are available or cancel the order and receive a full refund within 7 days.
3. Price and Payment
3.1 The price of the Goods will be displayed and charged in £ sterling. The total purchase price, including VAT and delivery, will be shown in your shopping cart before confirming the order.
3.2 Payment must be made in full at the time of placing your order. The person placing the order must be the credit or debit card holder or have the credit or debit card holder's permission.
3.3 Payments are processed by Stripe and all major cards are accepted, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Your card will be debited as soon as the order is made.
4. Delivery
4.1 We do all that we can to despatch orders received by 3pm on the same working day. This does not include weekends and Bank Holidays, where Goods will be despatched on the next working day.
4.2 Any delays will be notified to you by email within 2 working days
4.3 The estimated timeframe for delivery is 2 working days but allow 5 working days at busy times. We cannot be held responsible for any delay caused by our chosen postal service / courier.
4.4 Delivery will be made to the address that you provided on the Website when placing your order.
4.5 Once you have received your order, you become responsible for the items.
4.6 If your order is lost during transit, please contact us and a replacement will be sent. We will follow the process to claim the loss of a package from our postal service / courier.
4.7 We will not be responsible for missing parcels where an incorrect address has been provided. A refund may not be issued when incorrect details have been provided by you when placing the order.
4.8 Where the courier has returned your order to us because this has not been collected from the sorting office or the wrong address has been provided , we will give you the option to have that order resent. There may, however, be an additional charge for redelivery .
5. Cancellation and Refund
5.1 Please check your order as soon as this has arrived. If the Goods are faulty, incorrect or damaged in any way you must contact us within 14 days. We will replace or refund these items as preferred.
5.2 If you change your mind and wish to cancel the order after it has been despatched, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery. Goods may be returned (at your own expense) provided these are wholly unused and in their original product packaging. A full refund for the amount paid for the goods less any postage costs incurred by us will be refunded within 14 days.
6. Products
6.1 While we make sure that all sizes and measurements on the Website and within the patterns are as accurate as possible, due to differing personal knitting techniques there may be a small difference in the size of items made from a kit. We recommend following advice for using tension squares and appropriate needle/hook size to minimise this.
6.2 Colour names and images are for your reference only. Although every effort is taken to ensure that the colours of the items on our Website are displayed accurately, there may be some discrepancy in the representation of the colours on screen, depending on the device you use.
6.3 At times we may update prices and withdraw Goods at any time as necessary. We will not be liable to anyone if we remove or amend items on the Website.
7. Limitations
7.1 We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations if this results from events or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
7.2 We are not legally responsible for Consumer losses that were not foreseeable to you and us when the purchase was made, or that were not caused by any breach or error on our part.
7.3 No one other than yourself has any right to enforce any item within this contract.
8. Notices
8.1 All notices from you to us must be sent in writing to the registered address in point 1 (above) or by e-mail to admin@verde.uk. Notice will deemed to have been given immediately (if hand delivered), 3 working days after posting by 1st class or registered post or 24 hours after emailing (whether the recipient chooses to access it or not).
8.2 We may give notice to you at either the e-mail or postal address you provide to us when placing an order. 9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
9.1 We have the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time for any reason, but this will not affect our existing Terms and Conditions that were in place when your order was made.
10. Disputes
10.1 We will do our utmost to resolve any disputes with you quickly and efficiently.
10.2 If you are unhappy with the Goods, our service, or any other matter please contact us as soon as possible.
10.3 If we cannot resolve a dispute to your satisfaction, you may contact the Citizens' Advice Consumer Service.
10.4 Contracts for the purchase of Goods through our site and any dispute or claim arising (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by English law and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
