Bind Off | K2TOGTBL Knitwise (with a twist)

Bind Off | K2TOGTBL Knitwise (with a twist)

The K2TOGTBL bind off with a twist is the same as the standard K2TOGTBL bind off but I think the stitches lie a little neater.  Give it a try and see what you think!

This bind off is worked the same flat or in the round.

 Written Tutorial

  1. To begin, insert your right hand needle into the back of the first 2 stitches on the left needle from right to left (i.e. through the back loop).

  2. Wrap the yarn around anti-clockwise.

  3. Bring the needle forwards, pulling the loop through and slide the 2 worked stitches off the needle.

  4. Now take your needle and slip the new stitch back onto the left needle with a little twist, by inserting the tip from right to left (i.e. knitwise).

  5. Repeat from step 1 until you have 1 stitch remaining on the right needle.

  6. Cut the yarn to the required length and pull the needle up, extending the loop and pulling the yarn through.
  7. If working flat, weave in ends.  If working in the round, neaten the last stitch (see tutorial) and weave in ends.
